The incident, captured on video, reveals a heated exchange where the girls accuse the woman of attacking their 14-year-old friend, and the woman responds by attempting to snatch a phone from one of the girls, making inflammatory remarks about taking over the country.
Ayesha, who bravely stood her ground during the confrontation, recounted the experience on 612 ABC Radio Brisbane, emphasizing that the group had done nothing to provoke the woman's aggressive behavior. She described the incident as a clear violation of their rights and a disturbing act of Islamophobia.
Ali Kadri, the chief executive of the Islamic College of Brisbane, praised Ayesha's calm and courageous response, highlighting the importance of such values in society. Mr. Kadri also noted an increase in verbal abuse directed at the school's Muslim students, attributing it to the current political climate in Australia, where hatred and Islamophobia are being normalized.
